花香蒲屬是澤瀉目的一屬，記載於1858年。 [2] [3] 花香蒲屬以前計入水麥冬科，但現在被認為歸屬於本科的花香蒲科下。 [4] [5] [6]它只包含一種已知的澳大利亞特有的（ 昆士蘭州和新南威爾士州 ）物種， Maundia triglochinoides 。[1]
該物種被列為脆弱物種。 [7]
