2014年安順國會議席補選於5月19日提名並於5月31日舉行。[1][2] 這個議席在原任議員謝昂憑因膀胱癌於5月1日在吉隆坡逝世後懸空。[3] 他是來自民聯行動黨的國會議員。[4] 在 2013年大選中，他以7,313多數票打敗國陣候選人兼民政黨主席馬袖強及獨立人士莫拉林甘。[5][6]
人民聯盟的候選人是戴安娜，為行動黨內少見的巫裔政治家。[7]而在2014年5月17日，國陣宣布派馬袖強競選此議席。[8]這個補選將會有60,349個合格選民。[9]
